Situated at the foot of the North Downs, offers many ways to while away the rural hours while enjoying a respite from the stresses of daily life. After a comfortable night's sleep in quiet surroundings followed by a good breakfast, there are countless recreational options both in the park and nearby.

When you first drive into the grounds you'll be greeted by the sight of grazing horses. These horses are available for riding, and you can arrange for lessons through the family-run stables. There are private lakes also where you can fish for coarse fish.

For those who enjoy a stroll this part of Kent features a wide variety of scenic walks, both through the country and along the coast. Just above Beachborough Park is the North Downs Way, an easily accessible walking route which covers 153 miles (245 km) from Farnham in Surrey to the Kent Coast.

For sporting enthusiasts there are many things to do. Within one mile of the property are two excellent golf courses, and the Littlestone Links course is only a short drive. Along with the fishing at Beachborough Park there is also shore and boat fishing available in the area. The nearby Folkestone Sports Centre features a dry ski slope for off-season practice. And within reasonable driving distance one may take in a cricket game at Canterbury, view motor racing at Lydden, or spend a day at Folkestone Race Course Westenhanger which features both steeplechase and flat meetings.

Those interested in history shouldn't miss the Shepway Air Festival in late summer on the Leas in Folkestone, with over-water demonstrations of classic aeroplanes; admission to this festival is free. Other historic sights to visit include the Battle of Britain Museum in nearby Hawkinge, Dover Castle, Leeds Castle, the ancient Cinque Ports of Rye and Hythe, and the historic town of Battle near Hastings.

For family fun there is a lot to do, especially in the summer when the beaches are popular. Spend a day with the family exploring the 300-acre Port Lympne Wild Animal Park featuring over 500 rare animals. Or take a ride across the Romney Marsh on the one-third-scale Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway. In autumn don't miss the annual Model Exhibition at the Metropole in Folkestone.

Beachborough Park is located very close to the Channel ports of Folkestone and Dover with ferry service to the Continent. Only 500 metres away is the entrance to the Channel Tunnel, making this an ideal place to start or end your European journey in serenity.
